From data and knowledge
to insights and action
Step 1: Link data and context
The first step is to link your data and seed the business context.
We connect to your data sources (in place, read-only) and ask you to provide context information about your business, goals, and team. With this foundational information, we fine-tune our solution to match your domain and use-case.
We then index your meta-data. We never copy the actual data - they stay in place. The index only covers metadata, such as column names, types, and relationships, and sample data.
Optionally, you can use plain English to augument the index with descriptions of your data and further fine-tune the solution.
Step 2: Building knowledge
At this stage, you're ready to explore and query your data. Just start asking your questions in the chat interface, and you'll get answers grounded in your data, reports, drill downs, and more.
But for advanced functionality like suggestions and recommendations, we can take you one step further. With our plain English based knowledge building tool we help you and your team transfer domain knowledge into your Datova solution.
The domain knowledge can take many forms: descriptions of actions to be taken in specific situations, description of ways to discover anomalies or patterns, or simply a collection of best practices and guidelines. Just imagine teaching a new team member what your business is all about - that's all that's needed.
As you add more knowledge, the solution will become more and more competent, helpful, accurate, and adapted to your business.
Step 3: Copilot or Autopilot
With both data and domain knowledge in place, the solution can now be fully put to work.
Datova will continuously monitor your data and leverage the domain knowledge to provide you with answers, reports, and recommendations.
In the copilot mode, you take the lead and Datova will serve as your personal assistant. It will answer your questions, provide you with reports, but also make proactive suggestions and recommendations.
In the autopilot mode, the solution can be further integrated into your systems and act more like a team member on your internal communication channels, such as Slack, Teams, or email.
